Instructions on Completing the Online Application for a Firearms License

Step #1:
Complete the Online Application
You will need to have an e-mail address so the Indiana State Police Firearms will be able to contact you.
***Make sure to answer all questions. If you have been convicted of a misdemeanor and/or a felony be sure to answer yes. Your application could be denied if any answer is marked incorrectly. ***
At the end of the application, you will receive directions on how to schedule electronic fingerprinting (Step #2) and pay your state fee.
**It should be noted that the Wabash Police Department does not have the capability to do your electronic fingerprinting**
Step #2:
Schedule your electronic fingerprinting through MorphoTrust. You will also be able to pay your fingerprinting charge at this time.
Step #3:
Take your fingerprint IdentoGO receipt to your local police agency after fingerprints are completed.
Once your application is approved, your permit will be sent to you via the U.S. Mail.
You will be notified via the U.S Mail by ISP and you will receive instruction on how to file an appeal if your application is rejected.
